Application fees
There are no fees payable when you submit your application. Inspection and administration fees will be invoiced after your inspection. If you'd like a fee estimate before applying, search for the application name in our Fees and Charges document.

Next steps
- Shortly after submitting your application, you will receive an email confirming we've received it.
- We will review your form and update our records with your new information.
- If the food handling activity is determined to be either medium or high risk an unannounced inspection will be conducted. Following the inspection, we will issue an invoice for the inspection and administration costs.
- Routine inspections are typically unannounced and can occur at any time throughout the year to ensure ongoing compliance with food safety standards.
- You can pay your invoice via our make a payment function or in your portal account.
Time frames
There is no permit or approval issued after you have submitted your notification, you can commence trade once you submit this form.
