Financial Hardship Support

People can experience financial hardship for many reasons. When this happens, managing rates and charges can become difficult.
If you are struggling to meet payments, we can work with you to find a supportive and practical way forward. We take a flexible approach, focus on reducing financial stress, and aim to support people through challenging circumstances.

How we can help

If you are experiencing financial difficulties, there are several ways we can help, such as:
  • negotiation of special arrangements to pay rates and charges
  • write-off of accrued interest
  • deferral of rates and charges against your estate
  • financial assistance through one of three partner local welfare agencies who provide $65 vouchers towards rate payment.
