Rates Refund
If you've overpaid or made a payment to the wrong rates account, you can apply for a refund.
However, if your account is in arrears, we cannot process a refund request.
Next steps
- You'll receive an acknowledgement with your request number.
- City of Newcastle will assess your application and contact you if we need further information or to discuss your situation.
- We will notify you of the outcome of your application.
Time frames
A response will be provided to you within 10 business days. Processing of approved refunds may take up to 21 business days.
