Bulk Waste Containers (BWCs) also known as building waste containers or skip bins may require a permit depending on where they are placed.
The need for a permit is determined by the location of the container.
Public road, footpath or nature strip
- A Bulk Waste Containers permit is required.
- If the Bulk Waste Containers is to be placed in a timed or restricted parking area, a Temporary Parking Permit is also required.
Private property
- No permit is required from City of Newcastle.
- Where possible, Bulk Waste Containers should be placed on private property.
