If you need temporary access across community land to transport building materials, equipment or waste related to nearby construction work, you will need to get approval.

An initial administrative fee is payable when you submit your application. Any additional fees related to your application will be invoiced after review.

Next steps

  1. Shortly after submitting your application, you will receive an email confirming we've received it, along with a receipt for your application fees.
  2. We'll review your application and issue an invoice for the remaining applicable fees.
  3. Once payment is received, we'll issue your permit. If access keys are required, we'll contact you to arrange collection.
  4. Your permit must be kept onsite and shown upon request by a City of Newcastle officer.
  5. After the works are completed and any access keys are returned, your key and damage bond will be refunded.
