Council Facilities – Repairs

You can report maintenance or repair issues for City of Newcastle owned property, such as:
  • buildings
  • bus stops (furniture only)
  • boundary fences, ordinance fences, bollards
  • public bubblers, leaking taps, showers and toilets
  • street furniture and signs
  • shade structures and shelters
  • park fountains and monuments.
If you are reporting anything hazardous or dangerous to the community, please phone us after submitting your request, or call us directly on 4974 2000.

Providing specific details about the location of the required maintenance helps us locate and address it quickly. Please include cross streets, house numbers, or identifying landmarks.

Next steps

  2. Your request will be reviewed and prioritised based on the urgency of the required repairs.
  3. Once your request has been completed, you will receive a notification. Please note that the completion of your request may mean the work has been actioned, scheduled, or added to our future planning.

Time frames

Urgent, hazardous or emergency repairs will be attended to as soon as possible. Routine repairs can take 30 days.
