City of Newcastle holds cemetery records from 1 October 1967, when management was transferred to us. While many earlier records were collected, some were not received, and some graves remain unmarked or unknown.
If you're searching for historical records, you can:
  • visit Newcastle Library's Local Studies section
  • contact the Newcastle Family History Society Inc., which has published burial records for Wallsend, Stockton, and Minmi Cemeteries
  • submit an enquiry using this form, including the first name, surname, and date range of death, record retrieval fees may apply.
