If you see a dog offleash in a public place where leashes are required, you can report it here.

How we can help

Based on reports received, we may take action such as:
  • securing the dog
  • contacting the owner
  • increasing patrols
  • improving signage in problem areas.
Dogs are required to be on a leash and under effective control in public places, except in designated off-leash areas.

Raise a request

Before you begin

  • Ensure you provide as much detail as possible about the dog and any patterns of unleashed activity. This can help us target our patrols effectively.
  • When lodging your request, you will have the option to attach photos or other supporting documents.

Next steps

  1. You'll receive an acknowledgement with your request and tracking numbers, allowing you to monitor its progress in our Customer Portal.
  2. Our Rangers will respond promptly. If the dog is no longer in the area or is leashed upon our arrival, we will patrol the area at random times in the future. Fines may be issued to dog owners not appropriately restraining their dogs.
  3. Once your request has been completed, you will receive a notification.
