Park Mowing & Garden Maintenance

Our parks, sporting fields and open spaces offer inviting natural environments for the community to enjoy. We maintain these areas regularly to ensure they remain beautiful and accessible.
However, factors such as weather and the time of year significantly influence the rate at which vegetation grows.

Report to us

You can help by reporting areas that require our attention, such as:
  • long grass that needs mowing
  • flower beds and garden areas
  • overgrown bushes or shrubs
  • weed issues, including requests for weed spraying.

Raise a request

Before you begin

When lodging your request, you will have the option to attach photos or other supporting documents.

Location matters!

  • Include the name of the park or sportsground.
  • Parks and sporting fields can be large areas. Providing specific details about the location of the mowing or garden maintenance helps us locate and address it quickly. Please include the area of the park or identifying landmarks.

Next steps

  1. You'll receive an acknowledgement with your request number.
  2. We maintain certain areas on a regular schedule. When we receive a request, we first check if the area is already scheduled for maintenance. If it is, we will address the issue during the next scheduled visit. If the area isn't on our regular maintenance schedule, we will send a crew out to take care of it.
  3. Once your request has been completed, you will receive a notification. Please note that the completion of your request may mean the work has been actioned or scheduled.

Time frames

Requests for mowing will be addressed within our scheduled vegetation control cycle, which typically occurs every 6-8 weeks. Please note that cycle times may be affected by competing priorities, such as storm events and other emergency works.
