Request a meeting with the Lord Mayor.

Members of the public, community groups and organisations can request a meeting with the Lord Mayor to discuss matters of civic interest, community initiatives or partnership opportunities. All requests are reviewed by the Executive Office and assessed against the Lord Mayor's availability and priorities. You'll be notified once a decision has been made.

Lord Mayor's diary summary

City of Newcastle is committed to openness and transparency. As part of this commitment, we publish a summary of the Lord Mayor's diary on our website.

The summary includes:

  • the organisation or group attending
  • the category of attendees
  • the date and purpose of the meeting.

The summary does not include:

  • names of individual attendees
  • internal meetings with staff or Councillors
  • meetings of a personal nature

Before you begin

This meeting request process is not for operational or service matters.
For issues that require action, such as maintenance, services or investigations - visit our service catalogue and submit the relevant form.
When lodging your request, you will have the option to attach photos or other supporting documents.

Next steps

  1. You'll receive an acknowledgement with your request and tracking numbers, allowing you to monitor its progress in our Customer Portal.
  2. Once your request has been processed by the Executive Office team, you will receive a notification advising the outcome of your meeting request.

Time frames

The executive office will endeavour to provide a response within 7 business days. Meeting requests typically have a four week turnaround.
