Public Art Standing Committee

The Public Art Standing Committee (PASC) supports the development of public art across Newcastle.
It plays an important role in shaping artworks that reflect the city's history, culture, and community values.
The Committee continues across council terms to support long-term public art initiatives.

Purpose of the Committee

  • Provide advice and feedback on public art proposals
  • Supports fair and transparent commissioning processes
  • Help ensure artworks are meaningful and well-placed in both public and private spaces.

Meet with the Committee

  • The PASC service allows you to receive feedback on a public art proposals.
  • You can then obtain approval from the Committee, where required.

What you need to provide

Application fees

There are no fees payable when you submit your application. We'll invoice you after your application and preferences have been reviewed.
If you'd like a fee estimate before applying, search for the application name in our Fees and Charges document.

  • Enter the address of the property and the type of application (e.g.,1 Sample Street Newcastle - Public Art Standing Committee Booking Form) in the subject line of the email.

Next steps

  1. Shortly after submitting your application, you will receive an email confirming we've received it, along with an invoice for the application fees.
  2. Following a review of your application, we will notify you of your meeting date.
