Bin Repair or Replacement

If your bin is damaged or missing a wheel or lid, we'll fix it for you.
  • We can usually replace broken or missing lids, wheels or axles.
  • We typically can't repair the bin's body or handle.
If your bin can't be repaired, we'll replace it.

Fees

There are no fees associated with a bin repair or replacement.

Raise a request

Before you begin

  • Consider your bin size: Our bin sizes vary depending on the bin type and the property it services. You can review the various sizes within the request form.
  • Council sticker: Is there an account sticker on the front of the bin?

Next steps

  1. You'll receive an acknowledgement with your request number.
  2. Continue to use your bin as usual, our trucks will still empty it.
  3. For red lid/green lid bin repairs, leave your bin out on your next weekly (red lid bin) collection day until 4pm. Repeat this every week until your bin has been repaired.
  4. For yellow lid bin repairs, leave your bin on the kerb until it has been repaired.
  5. Once your request has been completed, you will receive a notification.

Typical repair/replacement times are:
  • Red-lid (waste) bins - 1 to 2 weeks
